The Secure Data eXchange (SDX) is a system created to send and receive data and other files safely and securely between AHSA and other organisations such as funds and hospitals.
The SDX works by posting data on to a secure SSL encryption protected website. The SDX emails users when data or other files are requested or sent by AHSA.
In order to have access to the SDX you first need to register and be authenticated by AHSA staff. Once you have been authenticated, you will be able to receive and upload data and documents.
How is the SDX being used?
The SDX is used between AHSA, AHSA funds and hospitals to transmit important information. This includes:
- HCP and AN-SNAP Data
- Validation Reports to AHSA
- BPA Information and accepted fund contracts
The SDX ensures that this sensitive information is transmitted securely between the parties.
Advantages of the SDX
The SDX encrypts data automatically without the need for additional software. It allows for tracking of files enabling AHSA staff to monitor who has sent data. SDX automatically follows up on any overdue data prompting recipients via email.
